Hi,
I was given a cheapo Sky Scrambler RC helicopter for Christmas. I've
tried to fly it but when I crank up the throttle to get it airborne, it just
tips over on its right hand side. Can anyone tell me what is going on? The
throttle and trim appear to be working correctly.

Cheers

Peter.

Make sure your batteries are strong, remember that rechargables dont have
the voltage of new AAs or AAAs.
Then crank up the rpm to max for takeoff and be prepared to use the tail
rotor to retrim as rotor speed increases. The torque effect changes all the
time needs constant correction.

Have fun and Happy new Yr

Thanks. I'll give it a go. I am surprised that a lack of oomph in the
batteries would cause it to list to one side. Still, all part of the
learning process.

Hi,
6 new batteries, 40 minutes charge, slightly less erratic but still out
of control :(

Cheers

The Sky Scrambler sells for $10 in the States. Have a look at this forum
comment, maybe the design is a dog!
I got the nano- copter from John Lewis (cost £30 I believe), with practice
flies controllable circuits but wish I had a larger room- without curtains.
Collisions with the wall are usually recoverable, but hit the Curtains and
you're dead!
